THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to estimate, plan, initiate and manage ICT projects.

The Project Manager will work on projects in the early phase ensuring business owner alignment, develop Project Management artefacts, such as initiation documentation and change documentation and comply with internal project governance.

Your quality and innovative project management experience will directly contribute to the Western Australian community through the successful delivery of WA Police Force ICT projects. ICT projects in the WA Police Force are highly varied, ranging from technical debt remediation to infrastructure replacement to application enhancements to implementation of world first policing technology delivering improved community safety. 

THE ROLE

This position is responsible for the development of portfolio project and program plans to plan for when potential projects could be initiated and undertaken. You will work with business analysts on project estimations and undertake project reporting on projects either in initiation or in flight as well as assist with the selection, briefing, onboarding and management of resources for new projects. You will manage projects in implementation, ensuring delivery on time and in budget whilst delivering significant community benefit.

This role sits in the Demand Management and Assurance team, who is responsible for assessing and initiating ICT projects. The team is responsible for developing estimates, managing demand and resource utilisation, initiating projects, transitioning projects to Delivery and providing independent quality assurance to ensure projects and programs follow sound quality management practices and meet required standards.
