The Role
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Education Assistants who are passionate about supporting students and working collaboratively with staff to improve student outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student is supported to succeed.
Suitable applicants will demonstrate the ability to work effectively with individual students and small groups, providing targeted support to ensure all learners can access the curriculum. A key aspect of the role includes assisting with the general care, wellbeing and engagement of students, fostering a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
The suitable applicants will ideally be flexible, proactive and able to use initiative in a dynamic school setting. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team is desirable, as is a commitment to building positive and professional relationships with staff, students and the wider school community. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are desirable to support effective collaboration and student support.
Applicants should display sound knowledge and understanding of a range of evidence-based teaching and learning strategies, particularly in literacy and numeracy intervention. Experience or familiarity with behaviour support approaches that promote positive student engagement will be highly regarded.
Knowledge of, or experience working with, students with English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) is highly desirable.
