THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a Cyber Security professional to lead the operations of the WA Police Force Security Operations Centre. This is a vendor provided service, and as well as a keen technical eye, in order to be successful in the role you will need to be confident in leveraging contract controls, ensuring performance and service delivery.

You will be empowered and a key driver in identifying and implementing service improvements and automation, along with vendor partners.

You will directly see the benefits of your quality and innovative service delivery supporting stakeholders internally, partners within the public sector externally, as well as delivery services to the West Australian community. 

THE ROLE

This position leads the operational delivery of security operations by overseeing vendor provided Security Operations Centre (SOC) services, validating operational performance against Service Level Agreements (SLA) and playbooks, coordinating effective incident prevention, detection and response, and overseeing vulnerability management technology. Monitors operational metrics and implements process improvements and automation to enhance service efficiency and cyber resilience.

Security Operations business unit is responsible for the WA Police Force Security Incident Management and undertakes cyber security incident protection and response, administration account management, cyber threat monitoring and governance oversight of the managed security service providers (MSSP).
