Registrar - Trainee - Paediatrics - Ambulatory Care


Position profile:
HITH (Hospital in the Home) acts as a virtual inpatient ward admitting patients from a large number of specialities including direct admissions from ED and outpatients. The role of the Advanced Trainee requires the clinical maturity to visit patients in their homes, excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise clinical duties to effectively and safely manage HITH patients both in and out of hospital on a day-to-day basis. The role requires the registrar to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and to provide support to nursing and allied health staff in delivering direct clinical care. In addition to the broad clinical experience, this position provides opportunities in teaching, research, and quality improvement.

Area Profile: The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) treats children from around Western Australia and is committed to programs that promote lifelong health in children and adolescents. CAHS is made up of Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and Perth Children’s Hospital.
