About the role
The Office of the Western Australian Crime Statistics and Research (WACSAR) undertakes and supports independent research and analysis into crime and criminal justice issues in Western Australia. WACSAR is responsible for interpreting, understanding and critically evaluating current and emerging issues in order to inform policy development and government decision making.
The Level 4 Assistant Performance Officer is responsible for undertaking routine research and analysis of data aligned with corporate and divisional performance and contributes to discussions with departmental staff and business areas on outcomes. This position ensures that data and reports are accurate and timely, as they assist business areas to inform decisions around planning, governance and strategy. In this role you will be expected to remain up to date with identified trends and issues and undertake statistical projects to meet strategic information needs.
The Level 5 Performance Analyst supports the Principal Performance Officer in the development, implementation and monitoring of organisational performance frameworks, systems and processes. The position is responsible for monitoring corporate performance and preparing performance reports in accordance with statutory and administrative requirements, including preparation of quarterly and annual reports on key performance indicators. In addition, the position supports business areas in the development of performance measures and assist business areas and the budgeting and strategy team in the production of annual budget statements and budget briefing notes.
