This is a full-time five-year contract with the possibility of extension
THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The Corruption and Crime Commission (CCC) is a leading anti-corruption agency whose primary purpose is to strengthen the integrity of the public sector, reduce corruption and disrupt criminal activity for the benefit of our community.
The Assessment and Oversight directorate is a multi-functional team working collaboratively across the Commission and the Western Australian (WA) public sector through its assessment, oversight and research and engagement functions. The directorate manages the assessment of serious misconduct allegations, oversees action taken by public sector agencies into alleged serious misconduct and conducts research and analysis to inform Commission priorities and assist the public sector to mitigate serious misconduct.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As Assistant Director – Research and Assessments, you will play a key leadership role in guiding both the Research and Engagement team and the Assessment teams. You will provide strategic direction, ensure the integrity and effectiveness of assessment processes, and lead the development of innovative approaches that expand our prevention and education function and enhance public sector capability to reduce corruption.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the Commission and the broader WA public sector, contributing to informed decision‑making, high‑quality reporting, and the continuous improvement of assessment and research practices. This is a rare chance to influence systemic integrity outcomes across government and support the Commission’s role in reducing misconduct and strengthening public trust.
If you are a collaborative leader with strong judgement, a strategic mindset, and a passion for public sector integrity, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the sector.
The Commission requires applicants to be Australian citizens or be immediately eligible for citizenship, and appointment is conditional on satisfactory completion of a rigorous security clearance process.
The Commission is an equal opportunity employer and encourages people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and persons from culturally diverse backgrounds to apply.
