This is a permanent full-time position commencing ASAP

The Integration, Build and Deployment Directorate is responsible for information communication and technologies (ICT) Cloud and Infrastructure Services, Application Security Implementation, Solutions Architecture, Solutions Development and Maintenance, Testing and Assurance, and Data Management within an ICT context. The Directorate’s role is to build, integrate, and maintain technical solutions and infrastructure environments that address organisational challenges. It ensures that applications, systems, cloud platforms, and products are securely constructed, integrated, interfaced, and configured to meet business needs.

The Role

The Principal Consultant – ICT Network Contracts provides strategic and technical leadership across the lifecycle of the Department’s cloud and infrastructure services. The role ensures the reliability, maturity, and optimisation of the ICT environment to support current and future business requirements.

Procurement and contract management are key responsibilities, with a focus on ensuring that services—including core cloud platforms, end‑user devices, network devices, servers, and business machines—deliver value for money and meet required technical standards.

The position undertakes research and analysis to develop, implement, and maintain the policies, frameworks, and technical standards that govern these services. It leads the application of technical procedures and industry‑aligned methodologies to ensure infrastructure solutions are well‑designed, secure, and fit for purpose.

The role proactively identifies and manages technical risks, ensuring all infrastructure initiatives align with security principles and support the Department’s long‑term operational and strategic objectives. As a senior technical advisor, the position also contributes to vendor performance management and continuous improvement activities across the ICT environment.
