About
the Role – Midwife
We are
seeking suitably experienced midwives to our join our Labour &
Birth Suite and Maternal Fetal Assessment Unit team. As a
Midwife with WNHS, you will play a vital role in delivering
high‑quality, evidence‑based, woman‑centred care
across a dynamic clinical environment.
You
will:
- Provide
expert clinical and professional midwifery care to women,
babies and families
- Work
collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team that values
shared expertise and respectful practice
- Promote
and support patient safety, quality improvement and best
practice outcomes

Australia. WNHS has more than 60 Endorsed Midwives working across
the organisation ensuring Midwives are able to work to their full
scope and enhancing the patient experience.

Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH)
- WA’s
only tertiary maternity and gynaecological hospital
- Over
6,000 births each year
- Statewide referral
centre for high‑risk pregnancies
- Home of
specialised services including Maternal Fetal Medicine,
Pregnancy Choice and Abortion Care, Pregnancy Loss Service,
Women and Newborn Drug and Alcohol Service, Adolescent and
Diabetes services caring for the high-risk population in
WA.
- WNHS
encompasses all midwifery models of care with opportunities to
work within CMP, MGP, MAPS and complex multi-disciplinary
teams
- Home to
a state‑of‑the‑art Special Care Nursery
- Comprehensive
gynaecological services supporting around 5,000 women
annually
WNHS also
manages key statewide programs, including BreastScreen WA, and
other specialist services supporting women and babies across the
state.
