The Opportunity:

This is an immediate fixed term opportunity for 12 months with the possibility of extension or permanency.

The Business Manager role provides dedicated Finance and HR support across the Approvals, Strategy and Performance, Office of Director General and Climate and Sustainability portfolios. The position works closely with the Department’s Finance and HR teams within Strategy and Performance as well as Executive Managers across each portfolio, to deliver integrated and high‑quality services to managers and staff.

In the area of Finance, services covered include Financial Management and Reporting and Business Planning functions.  The role is a key participant in business planning activities and supports ongoing financial management processes across the Department.

In the HR area, services covered include enabling and supporting HR recruitment activities in a timely and efficient manner.

This opportunity offers the successful candidate the chance to contribute in these areas to support significant departmental projects spanning multiple portfolios.
