The Opportunity:
We currently have one Permanent opportunity to fill immediately and the possibility of additional fixed- term positions over the next 12 months.
The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) is seeking a Ministerial Services Officer to support the coordination, monitoring and preparation of Ministerial, Parliamentary and Government business correspondence and briefing notes. The role ensures timely, accurate and high-quality outcomes that comply with departmental policies, procedures and Government standards.
Reporting to the Senior Policy Officer, the position manages ministerial correspondence and enquiries from receipt to completion, including coordinating return advice, briefing notes and executive correspondence. The role provides editorial oversight to ensure professional presentation consistent with style guides, maintains registers and databases, tracks and reports on matters using online systems, and responds to internal and external enquiries in line with agreed service standards. The Ministerial Services Officer works collaboratively across the department, builds effective stakeholder relationships, contributes to continuous improvement of ministerial processes, and supports quality and consistency in ministerial material. The role may also assist with staff training and the development of guidance materials relating to ministerial and parliamentary processes.

This pool will operate for a period of twelve (12) with vacancies being offered at part or full time on a permanent or fixed term contract basis with the possibility of extension or permanency. Pool applicants do not hold a right of review against appointment decisions made from the pool.
