This is a Permanent Part Time appointment at
60.80 hours per fortnight.

Eligibility to
Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants

appointments).

Whilst this selection process will initially
be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill

also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain
valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised

The Nurse Educator - Aggression Prevention &
intervention (API), must demonstrate advanced interpersonal and
de-escalation skills, along with clinical experience in the
prevention and management of workplace aggression to minimise risks
for patients and staff. In collaboration with the
multidisciplinary team, the Nurse Educator – API provides
leadership and consultancy in the design, facilitation,
implementation, and evaluation of contemporary educational programs
and strategies
for aggression prevention and intervention that
reduce harm, improve patient experience and support staff
wellbeing. Additionally, this role contributes to quality and
safety initiatives, policy development and change
management

and knowledge of group dynamics to ensure engagement, and positive
learning outcomes?
c) How would you explain and model the
application of the doctrine of necessity – ensuring participants
understand when and how it justifies immediate intervention to
prevent harm, while reinforcing the need for proportionality,
de-escalation, and legal/ethical boundaries.
d) How you demonstrate EMHS values in your
current clinical / education practice.
