THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The Corruption and Crime Commission (the Commission) is a leading anti-corruption agency whose purpose is to expose and disrupt corruption, serious misconduct and organised crime. The Commission works to give the WA community confidence that public officers act in the public interest.
The Assessment and Oversight directorate is a multi-functional team working collaboratively across the Commission and Western Australian (WA) public sector through its assessment, oversight and research and engagement functions. The directorate assesses and manages the receipt of allegations, oversees action taken by WA public sector agencies into alleged serious misconduct and conducts research and analysis to inform Commission priorities and assist the public sector to mitigate serious misconduct.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Join a dynamic team dedicated to strengthening integrity within the WA Public sector.
The Assessments Team is responsible for receiving and assessing notifications of serious misconduct in accordance with the Corruption, Crime and Misconduct Act 2003 (CCM Act) and the Commission's strategic and operational priorities culminating in recommendations to determine how each matter should be dealt with.
This is an interesting and diverse role, where position holders have the opportunity to:
- Undertake comprehensive analysis and assessment of complex matters;
- Produce clear and concise written reports and make appropriate recommendations in line with strategic and operational priorities;
- Actively engage with stakeholders involved in the notification and assessment of allegations of serious misconduct.
