Position Profile 

Exciting promotional opportunities are available for Clinical Nurses within our Child and Adolescent Community Health team. Join us to deliver high-quality preventative and early intervention care across a range of community settings, including Child Health, Primary and Secondary School Health, Aboriginal Health, and Refugee Health.

You will deliver care through evidence-based practice, health promotion, education, and targeted support strategies, with a strong focus on the social determinants of health.

These roles offer more than just a job - they provide the opportunity to be part of a dedicated team focused on delivering higher levels of support to improve long-term health and educational outcomes for vulnerable children and communities.

As a Clinical Nurse, you will also play a key role in supporting workforce capability, including:

  • Acting as a preceptor, mentoring new staff and graduates while building clinical skills, decision-making, and confidence
  • Facilitating staff development and ongoing learning
  • Supervising and supporting nursing students, Registered Nurses, and Enrolled Nurses

  2. Use a real example from your current role to explain how you would demonstrate Respect and Collaboration when working with families, colleagues and stakeholders. (Addressing Essential Criterion 2 & 4)
  3. Describe how you would use your communication and interpersonal skills to resolve a conflict resolution situation with a client or carer? (Addressing Essential Criterion 5 & 6)
  4. Please nominate your preferred work area (first preference) from the options below. Your application will be assessed based on your ability to perform the responsibilities outlined in the JDF within the context of your selected area.
