The Infrastructure Division is seeking to establish a pool of Executive Consultants to fill permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise within the next 12 months, up to the end of April 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that arise in the Division during this period.

The Infrastructure division has responsibility for the provision of facilities (land and buildings) which include demographic forecasting and facilities planning, strategic asset management, capital works programs, maintenance and minor works programs, facilities and property management, environmental policy, and security and emergency management.

The Role

This is a senior leadership role at the centre of the Infrastructure division within Education Business Services (EBS), responsible for driving strategic alignment, enabling executive decision-making, and ensuring the effective coordination of key priorities across the division.

Working closely with the Executive Director, you will lead the development of strategic policy advice, oversee high-level projects and initiatives, and ensure that divisional activities are aligned with Government and Departmental objectives. The role plays a critical “hub” function—bringing together planning, governance, stakeholder engagement and operational delivery to support major infrastructure programs across Western Australian public schools.

You will provide leadership to the Office of the Executive Director, ensuring high-quality briefing materials, correspondence and business services are delivered with accuracy, timeliness and strategic insight. The role also has a strong focus on continuous improvement—identifying opportunities to enhance business processes, strengthen service delivery and build organisational capability.

Success in this role requires the ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level—translating complex priorities into clear plans, coordinating multiple workstreams, and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders across government, industry and the community.

The Ideal Applicant:

The ideal applicant is a strategic and outcomes-focused leader with the ability to operate effectively in a complex government environment.

You will bring strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capability, translating priorities into clear, deliverable actions, alongside a proven ability to lead teams and drive performance in a fast-paced setting.

A key strength will be your stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and navigate sensitive, high-level matters. You will also demonstrate a strong delivery focus, effectively managing competing priorities, monitoring progress and mitigating risks to achieve results.

Underpinning this is your sound judgement, professionalism and integrity, combined with the ability to communicate clearly and provide high-quality, concise advice to support executive decision-making.
