About you
Please note, this is a 50D position and only Aboriginal

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic applicant for the
role of Strong Spirit Strong Mind (SSSM) Training Coordinator.
You will be a proactive and collaborative professional with
strong organisational and leadership skills, and a demonstrated
commitment to improving alcohol and other drug outcomes and social
and emotional wellbeing. You will be comfortable working in
partnership with a range of stakeholders, supporting training
staff, and contributing to the continuous improvement of culturally
responsive, evidence‑informed training programs.
You will recognise the importance of person‑centred practice and
the need to work respectfully with individuals, families, carers
and advocates, particularly in the context of alcohol and other
drug use and mental health.
About the role
The Strong Spirit Strong Mind (SSSM) Training Coordinator is
responsible for coordinating the implementation and delivery of the
SSSM training programs and providing leadership and support to
staff involved in SSSM training activities.
The role coordinates the planning, design, delivery and review
of practice development programs focused on alcohol and other drug
use and mental health/social and emotional wellbeing (SEWB) for
human service providers. The position works collaboratively with
internal teams and partner agencies to ensure training programs
meet agreed objectives and align with best practice training
principles.
In undertaking this role, the occupant is expected to work in
partnership with stakeholders to deliver high‑quality, culturally
appropriate training that supports better alcohol and other drug
outcomes and improved mental health and social and emotional
wellbeing across the service system.
