This recruitment process is intended to establish a pool of suitable applicants who are able to fulfil the role of Receptionist/Administrative Assistant in ministerial offices.

Suitable applicants from this process will be placed in the pool from which temporary and/or permanent appointments may be made. This pool will operate for a period of 24 months from the date that the recruitment breach period has been finalised.

About the Role

The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant role is the face of the ministerial office and performs all reception duties with respect to the Minister's office by providing high quality administrative and clerical support for the Minister and other senior officers. Delivery of strong customer service to both internal and external clients using excellent written and verbal communication skills is essential.

Duties include but are not limited to typing and drafting correspondence, recording incoming and outgoing correspondence, filing, accounts, arranging meetings and assisting with appointments.  Keyboard skills and knowledge of current office software packages is a must.  Ability to work unsupervised, learn things quickly and excellent attention to detail are highly regarded skills.

Suitable applicants will be required to participate in our Fit2Work process on commencement to provide:

  • Proof of identity 100-point check.
  • A satisfactory National Police Certificate issued by the Western Australia Police Force.
