We are seeking a Gardener Groundsperson to join the Maintenance Team at Fremantle Prison. In this role, you will be responsible for general gardening duties, assisting with minor maintenance activities, and undertaking cleaning and operational support services. You will contribute to the ongoing maintenance and presentation of the Prison, ensuring it is well maintained for staff, visitors, and members of the public.
This is an open pool recruitment process for permanent full-time, and fixed term full-time opportunities. Suitable applicants will be placed in a Pool from which appointments may be made for similar vacancies for a period of 12 months.

To be successful for this position, you need to demonstrate:
- Experience in cleaning in a commercial or institutional environment.
- Experience in maintaining lawns/grounds.
- Experience in the safe operation and care of a variety of gardening machinery (for example, ride-on and standard mowers, edgers, blowers, brush cutters).
- Experience in assisting with minor maintenance activities is desirable.
- Demonstrate the behaviours within the leadership context of Personal Leadership as outlined below.
Core leadership behaviours outlined in Leadership Expectations are applicable to this role and should be demonstrated in the context of Personal Leadership. The Personal Leadership context is about the work of individuals not yet in traditional leadership positions who make a direct and immediate difference to the agency.
