Are you an experienced Executive Assistant who thrives on being one step ahead? Do you take pride in creating calm, order and efficiency in a fast-paced executive environment?

We are seeking a highly capable, proactive and personable Executive Assistant to provide high-level executive and administrative support to the Chief Executive.

Why join us? This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the organisation, contributing directly to executive effectiveness and organisational outcomes. If you are a trusted, adaptable and forward-thinking Executive Assistant who enjoys making a meaningful impact, we would love to hear from you.

This is a Permanent, Full-Time position working 76 hours per fortnight. This position is located in the Perth CBD.

EMHS is committed to ensuring that our services are delivered by people who are representative of the diverse communities we assist.

We wholly embrace diversity and inclusion and encourage people to work with us from all ages, races, genders, religions, sexual orientations, family responsibilities or other characteristics, including Aboriginal people, people from culturally diverse backgrounds, individuals with a diverse sexuality or gender or bodily diversity, and people with disability.

Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

Other Conditions:  WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require applicants to undertake a criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. As well as undertaking a criminal record screening and integrity checking, you may also be required to undertake a working with children check (if required for the role) and a pre-employment health assessment. We may ask referees to comment on your integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour. Please note that adverse information does not necessarily disqualify an applicant but will be considered as part of the appointment process.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.

Position Profile: As Executive Assistant, you will work in close partnership with the Chief Executive, providing seamless executive support and ensuring the smooth operation of administrative and information systems. Your ability to think ahead, manage complex schedules and maintain strong working relationships will be critical to your success. In this role, you will:

  • Provide high-level executive secretarial and administrative support to the Chief Executive.
  • Manage the Chief Executive's diary, appointments, meetings and other commitments.
  • Provide secretariat support including preparation of agendas and supporting documentation, taking and distributing minutes, and follow-up of agreed actions as required.
  • Maintain efficient and effective record and information systems, ensuring records are kept, filed, and secured appropriately to ensure confidentiality.

About you: To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience providing executive support to a senior executive.
  • Outstanding organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle priorities in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to anticipate the needs of the Chief Executive, and take appropriate initiative to deliver required outcomes.
