About us
The Department of Treasury and Finance is at the centre of Government decision-making. As the principal economic and financial advisor, we provide leadership and strategic advice and influence to support the delivery of services and outcomes for the benefit of Western Australia.
What we do is integral to the Government’s decision-making processes about where and how to spend taxpayer’s money to ensure Western Australians have access to quality services on a financially sustainable basis.
We lead procurement and leverage our buying power to secure products and services for government, achieving value for money for WA.
We collect revenue to fund government services and administer payment of grants and subsidies to the WA community.
The work area
This role sits within the People and Culture team, which is part of the Corporate Strategy and Performance business unit. The team works closely with the business to deliver strategic human resource partnering to support leaders with expert workforce, organisational and recruitment advice.
The opportunity
Do you want to make a difference by delivering contemporary recruitment processes and job design services within the Department of Treasury and Finance? As a Recruitment Consultant you will play a key role in the service delivery of the organisation's staffing needs. We are looking for a customer focused, motivated and innovative person to join a fantastic team! In this role, you will:
- Work closely with business areas and hiring managers to implement innovative recruitment and selection practices
- Provide advice on, and undertake job design, classification assessment, existing positions and policy and processes
- Ensure any decision making is compliant with relevant legislation and policy requirements
- Maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
We currently have one (1) temporary full-time position available within the People and Culture team. This position is available for 12 months with the possibility of extension or permanency.
