Fixed Term Full Time and
Fixed Term Part Time appointments will be available for 6-12 months
with the possibility of extension(s).
Suitable applicants will be
placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar
vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool
until 30/09/2026.
Position
Profile:
Provides high quality clinical service to
older adults admitted under surgical specialties including
perioperative optimisation, acute medical management and discharge
planning. Works under the supervision of a Geriatric Medicine
Specialist and within a multidisciplinary team with surgical,
nursing and allied health professionals to address the medical
needs of patients, coordinate rehabilitation, and discharge
planning. Provides teaching and support to junior doctors and
allied health disciplines.

Fiona Stanley Hospital
(FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range
of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a
comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit,
maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult
Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart
and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
Fremantle Hospital
(FH) is a 300-bed specialist hospital focused on providing
high-quality aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation,
planned surgeries and medical services.
