About the
Role
The Child and Adolescent Health Service
(CAHS) is seeking a collaborative leader with strong program
management capability to join our team as Director Clinical
Reform Outpatients & Elective Surgery Waitlist
(ESWL).
Working in close partnership with clinical
and operational teams, executive stakeholders and system partners,
you will lead and implement strategic and sustainable reform
initiatives focused on optimising outpatient and elective surgery
systems in alignment with CAHS strategic objectives and with the
goal of improving outcomes for children and families.
Your focus will include:
- Partnering with
Department of Health WA, Health Service Providers, primary care
networks and Indigenous health services to strengthen referral
pathways and service coordination
- Reviewing referral models
to ensure care is coordinated and flexible, timely, culturally
safe and equitable access to specialist services.
- Increasing care delivery
through driving innovative models of care and alternative care
pathways.
Your ability to engage clinical and
non-clinical teams and broader health system partners in strategic
redesign, disciplined program delivery, and achievement of
measurable outcomes will be key in achieving sustainable
transformation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding ESWL and
outpatient performance to achieve measurable improvements in
access, equity and efficiency.
- Working with service
areas, clinical and non-clinical leaders to co-define
priorities and translate reform strategy into practical
actions.
- Leveraging analytics,
staff and consumer feedback, to drive re-design, service
innovation, and deliver coordinated meaningful
change.
- Driving employee
engagement in the change process by articulating shared
priorities and fostering a culture that enhances workforce
capability for change, builds readiness to harness digital
tools, and encourages innovation.
- Supporting clinical areas
to adapt and evolve programs and service delivery
models.

demonstrated track record of delivering complex change within

decision-making capability, together with proven success leading
service reform that improves patient experience and system
performance will be highly regarded.
Clinical / Professional qualifications
are welcome but not essential.
