Clinical Assistant to join our dynamic Derby Government Dental
Clinic team at Dental Health Services (DHS).
This
is for a Permanent Full-Time appointment.
What
is our Dental Clinic Assistant role?
The Dental
Clinic Assistant supports the Dentist in the day to day
administration and running of the clinic as well as providing
chairside clinical assistance. This role involves assisting during
the examination and treatment of patients. You are also responsible
for maintaining patient records in accordance with Dental Health
Service policies.
Travel to
outreach services and Aboriginal communities in surrounding areas
is required in this role.

Location
This position is in the Derby Dental Clinic.
Derby is a town in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Derby
falls within Nyiginka country. Derby is rich in cultural diversity,
with the local Aboriginal Australian culture playing a large part
in the community. Along with Broome and Kununurra, it is one of
only three towns in the Kimberley to have a population over
2,000.

dental health services provider in WA, operating state-wide from a
network of fixed and mobile clinics, funded by the WA Government.
DHS provides the School Dental Service for children aged 5-16
years, General Dental Services to eligible adults with a current
health care card or pension concession card, Subsidy Schemes and
Special Dental Services.

Eligibility to Apply:
Australian
citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for
applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public
sector. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have
documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in
Australia for the period of the contract.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the
above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar"
vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this,
should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised
vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected
from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period
of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses
the recruitment decision.
