The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is seeking a highly organised and detail‑focused professional to contribute to the development, coordination, and implementation of organisational policies and organisational documents. In this role, you will provide a comprehensive document control service, ensuring the efficient management of corporate policies and organisational documents through the PTA’s Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) and other document libraries. You will monitor document review cycles, prepare reports, support teams to meet performance indicators and due dates, and identify opportunities to improve document control processes, while maintaining awareness of relevant regulatory changes.
You will also actively participate in the development and review of policies and organisational documents, undertake research and evaluation of straightforward issues, and provide informed recommendations to support decision‑making. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, you will assist with meeting coordination, preparation and distribution of papers, records management, and project support as required. About You!
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Demonstrated experience providing document control and/or records management services within a large organisation, with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven capability working in a project environment, supported by well‑developed organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision and under pressure.
- Highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to develop practical solutions, make improvement‑focused recommendations, and confidently use Microsoft Office applications and an Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS).

There is currently one fixed term opportunity available to 31 October 2028 with the possibility of renewal and/or permanency. Applicants assessed as suitable through this process may be used to fill similar vacancies on a fixed term or permanent basis that may arise within the next 12 months.
To be eligible to work at the PTA you must be either an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident or hold a valid work visa until 31 October 2028.
