This
is for a permanent full-time role at 1.0 FTE (Full Time
Equivalent).
Whilst this
selection process will initially be used to fill this vacancy,
it may also be used to appoint applicants, assessed as suitable
during this selection process, to the same or other similar
positions at CAHS for up to 12 months. These can be permanent
full time, permanent part time or fixed term full time, fixed
term part time opportunities with the possibility of extension
and/or permanency.
About Eating
Disorders Service:
The Child and
Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) provides
comprehensive mental health services to children and
adolescents from birth to 18 years following a holistic and
patient-centered approach.
Our Eating
Disorders Services (EDS) provide assessment, consultation and
treatment services for young people who present with symptoms
of an eating disorder, and their families. We provide
inpatient in reach, and outpatient intervention through
various models of care including family-based therapy and
parent focused education and support. EDS offers nursing
medical clinics, outpatient day programs, and consultation
liaison with CAMHS clinics across the state. Our robust research
program is a key component to continuous improvement of our
services, together with consumer engagement.
Our diverse,
multi-disciplinary team includes clinical psychology,
dietetics, social work, occupational therapy, physiotherapy,
nursing, education, peer support, medical and psychiatry
teams, and liaises with private and public sector youth and
adult health providers. Our state-wide service includes
support for regionally based patients through provision of
telehealth, and our partnership with regional CAMHS and WA
Country Health Service (WACHS) clinics.
About the
Role:
We are seeking
enthusiastic Clinical Nurses with experience, knowledge, and
skills in eating disorders to deliver high quality nursing
services in the Eating Disorder Service day program, medical
clinic, triage, in-reach, and other duties as
required.
What you will bring:
- Preferably
3 or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse,
applicants with differing work and lived experience may
also be considered.
- Experience
working with children and adolescents is also
preferred.
- Experience
working with clients with eating disorders is
preferred.
- Demonstrated
ability to supervise others, and provide clinical
knowledge to enable staff in delivering quality patient
care.
- A
keen interest to upskill your clinical and leadership
skills.
Registration as a Registered Nurse by the Nursing and
Midwifery Board of Australia is
required.
