About the opportunity

There are currently four (4) permanent – full time positions available for immediate filling.

We are seeking experienced, forward‑thinking, and impact‑driven finance professionals to join our team as Senior Finance Business Partners. This is a role for someone who thrives on complexity, embraces challenge, and is motivated by the opportunity to shape meaningful change across a large and diverse organisation.

As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will deliver high‑quality budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting that drive informed decision‑making and organisational performance. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the Department’s financial strategy, contributing to the annual budget estimates cycle, financial performance reporting, and external funding management.

This role is for someone who leans in, not someone who waits to be asked. We are seeking Senior Finance Business Partners who are proactive, curious and confident in using their initiative to add value. You will help shape better financial outcomes by championing innovation, driving continuous improvement and introducing fresh, practical ideas that strengthen our financial processes, systems and stakeholder relationships. We are looking for individuals who are engaged, solutions‑focused and ready to play an active role in supporting business areas, bringing new perspectives, improving how we work and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement across the Department.

Acting as a trusted advisor, you will provide proactive insights on financial performance, risks, and opportunities, ensuring accountability, transparency, and alignment with departmental goals. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on financial governance, resource management, and the delivery of government priorities across Western Australia.
