About the role: We are
seeking a Technical Assistant to join our Microbiology Registration
team at the QEII Medical Centre. This role supports the day‑to‑day
operation of the Microbiology Registration area. You will register
patient episodes and specimens in laboratory information systems,
receive and prioritise requests and samples, and prepare them for
laboratory processing. The position also assists with supervising
and training registration staff, maintaining procedures and
training records, troubleshooting registration and sample
processing issues.

process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may
also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the
health service. In addition to this, should the successful
applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next
most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process.
Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12)
months from when the authorised delegate endorses the
recruitment decision.
