Our vision is to provide the community with perfect, predictable journeys, 24/7.

We continually strive towards excellence in everything that we do. Now is a great time to become involved in developing and implementing cutting edge technology and sustainable major projects on WA’s road network.

About the Role

Our Graduate Network Operations program is a two-year rotational program.

The program is primarily based at our Road Network Operations Centre (RNOC) in Perth CBD, where we utilise state of the art technology to manage traffic conditions in real-time, analyse performance data and optimise the road network to reduce congestion and cater for all modes of transport, while integrating with land use. You will have the opportunity to learn and use this technology to make a difference on the WA road network.

As a Network Operations Graduate, you will have the opportunity to work in different areas, gaining experience in:

  • Traffic Operations & Network Optimisation – Use of control systems to manage the operation and performance of traffic signals, Intelligent Transport Systems devices, and Perth’s expanding Smart Freeways.
  • Traffic Engineering & Design – Providing review and technical advice into road and intersection designs, major infrastructure projects and development applications and Town Teams Streets Alive Program
  • Data Analytics & AI – Use of in-house big data systems to identify performance and safety gaps or trends, and drive improvements on the network.
  • Traffic Modelling & Visualisation – Use of microanalytical and microsimulation software to evaluate intersection or road upgrades and visualise performance.

There is no doubt you will have an impact on people’s day-to-day journeys and the future of transport within WA.

We offer an attractive remuneration package, well-structured rotation plan and formal training to support your development.  Upon successful completion of your graduate program, you will be offered a permanent position in the organisation.
