An
opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic
Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Midwest Mental
Health Community Alcohol and Drugs
Service.
To be
successful, you will have:
- Extensive and
recent experience working in in Community Mental Health
Services.
- Extensive
knowledge of mental health disorders and experience in
provision of evidence-based treatments in community
settings
- Highly developed
interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving
skills.
- Highly developed
verbal and written communication skills including
computer literacy
- Ability to work
with clients from a variety of cultural and ethnic
groups.
- A working
knowledge of current mental health
legislation
- Ability to work
effectively with other health professionals with a
multi-disciplinary team
- Eligible for /
or in possession of a current C or C-A Class drivers’
licence or other specialised licence class

Profile
The
WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Midwest health region
of Western Australia covers more than 470,000 square
kilometres, nearly one fifth of the State, with its
population concentrated along the coast. The region is
located in the northern middle section of Western
Australia and incorporates three health districts -
Gascoyne, Geraldton, Midwest and Murchison, is
