Position Profile:
We are
seeking a compassionate and capable Clinical Nurse to join our
Paediatric Palliative Care and Hospice team, providing evidence
based, holistic nursing care to children with life limiting
conditions and their families, whilst working collaboratively
with the Clinical Nurse Manager and wider multidisciplinary
team. You will provide strong clinical assessment and case
management skills, with a commitment to professional
development, quality care and child safety.
This may
include:
- Coordinate and deliver
safe, high‑quality care for a defined group of
patients.
- Work
across a rotating roster, including
after‑hours/weekends/on‑call.
- Advocate
for children and families and collaborate with the
multidisciplinary team to achieve care goals.
- Maintain
accurate clinical documentation in line with CAHS
standards.
- Provide
clinical guidance and support to junior nursing
staff.
- Participate in quality
improvement, education, training and evidence‑based practice
initiatives.
About the Sandcastles (Boodja Mia)
Children’s Hospice: Due to commence operations
mid-2026.This purpose-built, world-class paediatric hospice,
located on the stunning Western Australian coast, offers
statewide specialist paediatric palliative care services for
children and young people (0–18 years) who are living with
life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and their

and relevant legislation in ensuring safe, accountable and
ethical nursing care.

- Provide
an example that demonstrates your leadership skills and your
ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and
colleagues. Include how you have used negotiation,
teaching or conflict resolution skills within a
multidisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes.

- Describe
your experience with continuous quality improvement and
implementing evidence-based practice or research findings.
Include how your knowledge of relevant legislative and
regulatory requirements influences your approach to nursing
practice and service delivery.

addition, please provide a current resume which summarises your
experience and includes both phone and email contact details of
two professional referees, with at least one being a recent
supervisor/line manager.
