This is for a fixed term part time role at 0.6 FTE
(Full Time Equivalent) with possibility of extension and
permanency.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill this
vacancy, it may also be used to appoint applicants, assessed as
suitable during this selection process, to the same or other
similar positions at CAHS for up to 12 months. These can be
permanent part time or fixed term part time opportunities with the
possibility of extension and/or permanency.
About Our Team:
The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
(CAMHS) in Western Australia offer support, advice and
treatment to children and adolescents from birth to 18 years who
are experiencing mental health challenges.
About the Role:
As a Senior Speech Pathologist in
Complex Attention and Hyperactivity Disorders Service
(CAHDS) you will apply advanced skills in speech
pathology to provide assessment, consultation, and management for
children and adolescents presenting to CAHDS with ADHD and comorbid
developmental, neurodevelopmental, learning and mental health
difficulties/challenges.
You will work closely with a supportive, experienced, and
welcoming multi-disciplinary team of mental health and allied
health professionals. You will have a diverse role that
includes:
- Individual assessment
- Providing feedback and support to caregivers and
families
- Consultation and clinical guidance regarding language,
speech and communication disorders for other team members
- Consulting with schools and other community
stakeholders
Providing education to caregivers, families and other
professionals.
You will also have access to individual profession-specific
clinical supervision, and termly opportunities for education and
networking with the Speech Pathologists in other CAMHS
services.
