Fremantle Hospital Group's Aged Care Medical team
as a Consultant Geriatrician and lead the delivery of high-quality,
person-centred care for our older patients.
This is a 6-month fixed-term
opportunity at 0.7 FTE (14 sessions per fortnight), with
possibility of extension(s). We are open to negotiating hours
with the successful candidate.
As part of an interdisciplinary
team, this role provides the rehabilitation and aged care medical
services to patients. You will promote patient safety and quality
of care. You will lead and promote the organisational culture of
commitment, accountability, respect and excellence. You will
provide leadership, orientation, training, supervision and
education, where relevant, for Doctors in Training (DiT’s), health
service medical practitioners and other health workers.
In collaboration with the Head of
Department and other Consultants, you will works to achieve
national, state and South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS)
performance standards and targets. You will also work within the
scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the SMHS
Area Medical Credentialing Committee (AMCC).
Fiona Stanley
Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a
range of health services including the State Rehabilitation
Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health
unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State
Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as
heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
Fremantle
Hospital is a 300-bed specialist hospital focused on
providing high-quality aged care, mental health, secondary
rehabilitation, planned surgeries and medical services.
