We have multiple opportunites available for Permanent Full Time and Permanent Part Time appointments in Ward G74 Acute Medical. 

What is our Clinical Nurse role?

This position under the direction of the relevant Senior Registered Nurse (s) practices as a Clinical Nurse in keeping with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board Registration Standards and Nursing Practice Decision Making Flowchart. Provides advanced, comprehensive and evidence -based nursing care to patients as part of a multidisciplinary team, upholds and functions within the core values of the organisation of Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork & integrity; acts as a role model, providing leadership, support, team building and change management through respect, recognition and collaboration.

G74 – Acute Medical

  • 34 Beds
  • Step down ICU patients
  • Wide variety of medical admissions
  • 7 day Staff Development Nurse Cover
  • Progression opportunities
  • Key stakeholder in discharge planning in conjunction with discharge coordinators
  • Professional collaborative MDT environment

Area Profile

Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical services including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery, and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre - the largest cancer treatment centre in the State - and is the State's principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.
