Do you want to be a part of a team that promotes and improves the health of its people and community?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and suitably qualified Dentist, eligible for registration with the Dental Board of Australia. You will have well-developed communication skills and thrive working as part of a small team to deliver high quality oral healthcare, including education.

This is for a Permanent Full-Time appointment.

What is our Dentist in Charge role?

The Dentist in Charge directs and oversees the operations of the dental clinic and School Dental Service in the Narrogin area. As well as managing staff and maintaining equipment, you will also provide routine and advanced clinical treatment to enrolled patients. You will also develop epidemiological data for the clinical area and initiate relevant community dental care programs aimed at improving dental health in the community by liaison with dentists, service organisations, education and local authorities and relevant community groups.

This position is subject to a Western Australian Working With Children (WWC) Check. For further information please refer to the WWC website at: https://workingwithchildren.wa.gov.au

While your qualifications and experience tell us part of your story, your values and attitude speak louder still. At North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS), we aim to ensure our behaviours reflect our core values: Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork and Integrity. During the selection process you will be assessed on your ability to fulfil the responsibilities of this position while upholding our values.

Location

This position is located in Narrogin, an idyllic and quaint country town in WA's beautiful Wheatbelt region that offers a lot to its residents. The town is roughly 2.5-3hours drive from Perth, and contains beautiful gardens and memorials, country pubs, cafes, restaurants, and excellent schools. A town rich in history and culture.

What we offer

For this role, subsidised accommodation may be available in Narrogin through the Government Regional Officer Housing (GROH) Program.

NMHS supports flexible working practices and consideration will be given to flexible work options, where operationally appropriate. In addition to the great salary, our employees enjoy an amazing range of benefits (North Metropolitan Health Service - Pay and Benefits) including:

  • Generous salary packaging to increase take-home pay.
  • Professional and career development opportunities.
  • Diverse and inclusive culture.

Want to know more about this role?

We encourage you to contact Lorna McCourt on 08 9313 0555 or email Lorna.McCourt@health.wa.gov.au to discuss how this role aligns with your personal and career interests.

  • References - the names and contact details of two (2) referees. It is preferable for one of your referees to have been a recent supervisor.

In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process.
