Geraldton Health Campus. Fixed Term appointments may be
extended or lead to permanency.

new Geraldton Health Campus Acute Psychiatric Unit, opening in
mid‑2026, offers an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse
to join a modern and purpose‑built service. You will provide
high‑quality, recovery‑focused care for consumers with acute
mental health needs and work closely with a supportive
multidisciplinary team. This role offers strong clinical
variety, professional development and the chance to contribute
to safe and person‑centred models of care within a growing

Area
Profile
The Midwest
health region of Western Australia covers more than 600,000
square kilometres, nearly one fifth of the State, with its
population concentrated along the coast. The region is located
in the northern middle section of Western Australia and
incorporates four health districts - Gascoyne, Geraldton,
Midwest and Murchison.
The $188
million redevelopment of Geraldton Health Campus is an
investment in the Midwest, delivering:
- an
expanded emergency department.
- a new
intensive care unit and new high dependency unit.
- a new
integrated mental health service inclusive of an adult mental
health inpatient unit and a mental health short stay
unit.
- a
reconfigured main entry.
A community
reference group with local consumers, staff and representatives
from local organisations helped inform the architectural
drawings.
The group
also shaped cultural recognition of the traditional land owners
and representation of regionally significant landmarks and
industries in the new facility.
