Your application should
include:

statement addressing the value-based statement in no more than
400 words
Eligibility to
apply
Applicants must:
- Be
eligible for registration as an enrolled nurse, registered
nurse, and/or midwife with the
Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
(NMBA).
You must be registered
before you commence your graduate program.
- Be an
Australian or New Zealand citizen, or an Australian permanent
or temporary resident, with a valid visa and full-working
rights for the duration of the graduate program.
- Have
completed your nursing and/or midwifery studies after 1 January
2025 and before 28 February 2027. Completion means final grades
received those leads to initial registration as an enrolled
nurse, registered nurse, and/or midwife. Preference will be
given to applicants that completed their studies within
Australia.
- Have not
previously participated in a graduate nursing or midwifery
program in the designation you are applying.
Assessment of all applicants
will be based on merit.

Position
Profile
The Registered Nurse (RN)
practices within the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
(NMBA) professional standards which define the practice and
behaviour of nurses and midwives and include codes of conduct,
codes of ethics, guides to professional boundaries and standards
for practice.
As part of a
multidisciplinary team, the RN provides comprehensive
evidence-based nursing care to patients. The RN facilitates and
promotes safe and high-quality patient care and works in
collaboration with colleagues and other senior nurses and
midwives.
The commencement
period for GradConnect is either July to December 2026 OR January
to June 2027. You will be asked to express which
period you would like to commence during your online application.
The selected period will assist health service providers in
organising their services and does not constitute a guarantee of
employment in that period.
