in the Cancer Network Western Australia (Cancer Network WA)
service?
The Cancer Network
WA supports patients across the State to promote access to
quality, timely care. Our unit helps patients at many points along
the cancer pathway – screening to prevent cancer; throughout their
cancer treatment journey; and to support the best palliative care

As Clinical Nurse
Consultant - McGrath Cancer Care Nurse you will join a
team of specialist senior cancer nurses located across metropolitan
Perth Health Service Providers. You will provide leadership and
guidance in the development and enhancement of specialist services
for people presenting with Lung Cancer or other cancer streams.
This will be in accordance with clinical practice guidelines and
the McGrath Model of Care.
In this role, you will have
a strategic and clinical function; and provide support for cancer
patients by: Supporting them navigate the health care system and
access appropriate services to enhance their cancer journey. Acting
as a central point of contact for patients, families, and health
care professionals. Providing and explaining information on
diagnosis, treatment, and all aspects of the cancer journey.
Provide a holistic needs assessment to address and action patient
needs Collaborating and linking cancer patients with other services
both within their treating hospital and the wider
community.
You will influence the
practice of cancer nursing in allocated clinical area/s and provide
an effective clinical and strategic function, both within and
external to Cancer Network WA. This may include providing
leadership and influence on the monitoring of clinical standards,
as well as developing guidelines and policy.
