About The Role:
As the Director Management Accounting you will lead and manage the activities of the Management Accounting function for the Department of Housing and Works (DHW) and the Housing Authority. You will provide high level strategic leadership and direction to the delivery of contemporary budget management, financial business partnering and financial management.
You will assume a pivotal role in providing leadership and creating a high performing team that exhibits a personal commitment to quality customer service, teamwork, equity, integrity and continuous learning. The ability to recognise opportunities to enhance service delivery and capitalise on these through the development and implementation of effective change is essential.

You will also communicate complex information clearly to engage and influence stakeholders
This position is a Multiple Area Leader. This means that you will lead teams to achieve the strategic direction of a number of different business areas or key priorities. You will implement operational strategy and take the lead for shaping its short- and medium-term directions. You will contribute strategic value by determining the focus areas for delivery through a broader lens and determine the timing of future growth in your business areas.

Currently there is one (1) full-time, fixed-term Senior Executive Service (SES) appointment available for filling for a period of up to 5 years. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to appoint to this advertised vacancy, it may also be used to appoint to similar positions that may arise in the Department within the next twelve (12) months on a full-time, part-time, fixed-term basis.
