About The Role:

The Director Statewide Asset and Maintenance Services is accountable for leading, planning and delivering the Department of Housing and Works’s residential asset management services, including maintenance and refurbishment programs.   The role provides oversight of the Department’s residential asset-base and head maintenance contractor frameworks and works with operational staff across the State to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Department’s significant asset base.

The Director provides leadership and strategic direction to develop and maintain effective and efficient business planning, procurement practice, service contracting and asset management consistent with legislative responsibilities and strategic objectives. The role reports to the Executive Director, Housing Delivery & Asset Maintenance.  

This position is a Multiple Area Leader. This means that you will lead teams to achieve the strategic direction of a number of different business areas or key priorities. You will implement operational strategy and take the lead for shaping its short- and medium-term directions. You will contribute strategic value by determining the focus areas for delivery through a broader lens and determine the timing of future growth in your business areas.
