Regional Services is the trusted face of the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI) across regional WA—adaptable teams who know their communities and deliver responsive, high‑quality customer service.

The Driving Access and Equity Program (DAEP) is a statewide, multifaceted initiative designed to remove the barriers that make it difficult for people in regional and remote WA to get their driver’s licence.

Established to ensure fairer access to the opportunities a licence unlocks such as employment, education and community participation, DAEP partners with local organisations to provide practical support, resources, and culturally appropriate pathways that help people build driving confidence and independence. 

With thousands of participants already assisted, DAEP is transforming lives and strengthening communities.

The Opportunity

Play a key role in improving community outcomes across WA

As the Senior Grants Coordinator, you’ll lead a robust, fit‑for‑purpose grants process that ensures funding is used effectively, transparently and in line with government objectives.

Working as part of a dynamic and innovative team, you’ll shape policies, guide assessments, manage complex funding agreements, and support regional and remote communities through high‑impact grants that drive real social benefits.

There is currently 1 fixed term position available for immediate filling until February 2027, with the possibility of extension(s) or permanency.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced in designing and managing effective, value‑for‑money grant programs.
  • Delivers evidence‑based recommendations using strong qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Improves program performance through proactive evaluation and change.
  • Builds trusted relationships with team-members, diverse communities and stakeholders.
  • Communicates clearly and confidently to influence decisions.

Please, nominate two (2) referees who can provide feedback on your capacity to meet the Work-Related Requirements. At least one of the referees should be your most recent, immediate supervisor.
