This is a great opportunity to be part of the world’s largest bulk export port authority, encompassing the operating ports of Ashburton, Dampier, Port Hedland and Varanus Island, and five future port sites. 

We are seeking an experienced Senior PMO Officer to play a pivotal role in strengthening program and portfolio governance across the organisation. This role is responsible for providing oversight, assurance, and continuous improvement of Project Management Frameworks, supporting effective decision making through high-quality reporting, and proactively identifying risks and intervene as needed. The Senior PMO Officer will lead governance processes, drive change management practices, maintain key project documentation and records and partner with project team members to ensure initiatives are delivered efficiently, consistently, and with measurable impact. This position reports to the Program Management Lead.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Own, maintain, and continuously improve the organisation’s Project Management Framework, including governance processes, standards, and templates.
  • Provide portfolio-level governance, assurance and risk oversight across programs and projects.
  • Lead portfolio reporting and insights, delivering clear, accurate and decision-ready information for senior executives.
  • Design and deliver training, guidance and coaching for Project Managers and stakeholders to uplift capability and maturity.
  • Support and enhance project management systems, tools and processes to enable effective governance and reporting
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities and drive practical solutions to improve project delivery outcomes.
