The role

We currently have one permanent, full-time opportunity available for a Content Specialist to join our Interactive Engagement and Communications team at GESB.

As our Content Specialist, you will write and edit content across web, email and print for a range of audiences and formats including articles, web pages, letters, brochures, FAQs and flyers. You will be translating complex information into plain language while ensuring it meets regulatory requirements and aligns with our brand, style guidelines and strategic organisational goals.

You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts and stakeholder teams including product managers, lawyers and governance experts to manage the production of high quality, accurate content within required timeframes.

As our Content Specialist, you will bring:

  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience writing and editing short and long-form content for digital and print channels, including articles, web pages, emails, letters and flyers

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience

  • Demonstrated ability to apply tone of voice, plain language principles, brand guidelines and accessibility standards to written materials

  • Demonstrated experience producing content in collaboration with subject matter experts and stakeholders in a highly regulated environment
