Position
Profile: We are seeking a suitable experienced and
enthusiastic person to join our Diabetes and Endocrinology
team.
As the Clinical Nurse -
Diabetes Educator, you will provide your clinical and professional
expertise to ensure comprehensive evidence based nursing care is
delivered to patients.
The PCH
Diabetes department is a recognised centre of excellence with the
National Association of Diabetes ( NADC ) and is closely affiliated
with research centres – Children’s Diabetes Centre and Telethon
Kids Institute providing exciting opportunities to participate in
cutting edge diabetes research projects.
Key Responsibilities will
include:
- Provide comprehensive
evidence based nursing care and individual case management to a
specific group of patients including assessment, intervention
and evaluation.
- Co-ordinate the daily
activities of the unit/ward, including newly diagnosed
education, diabetes clinics and camps.
- Actively participate in
development and implementation of quality improvement
activities with other nursing and health care
professionals.
- Responsible and
accountable for patient safety and quality of care through
planning, coordinating, performing, facilitating, and
evaluating the delivery of patient care relating to a
particular group of patients, clients or staff in the practice
setting.

areas: Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental
