The Opportunity

We are looking for Governance Assurance Officers with a high attention to detail to join the Governance Assurance Branch.

As a Governance Assurance Officer, you will conduct audits and assurance processes on transactional data performed by the Driver Vehicle Services (DVS) internal and external partners. Utilising your stakeholder engagement skills, you will liaise with internal staff, external providers and business partners on a range of governance compliance matters. You will then assess and report upon their operational compliance in line with associated contracts and agreements.

You will be supported and mentored and given opportunity to develop your skills through access to relevant training and on-the-job exposure to audit and risk-based compliance activities. You will join a high performing team in the Governance area performing risk-based compliance activities. You may be required to travel around the Perth Metropolitan area and other country locations.

There is currently one (1) fixed term position available for immediate filling for a period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension(s).

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies (fixed term or permanent) that arise within the next 24 months from date of first appointment across the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure
