About the position
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills to support the Art Gallery Western Australia (AGWA) Development Team in maintaining and growing support for the Gallery. This role actively supports the building and nurturing of relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including current and prospective donors, partners and funders. Responsibilities include the professional management of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM), assistance with the delivery of fundraising strategies and initiatives, and providing support to the Foundation Manager and Fundraising Manager.

The Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA) is the State’s premier Art Museum. Situated in the heart of Perth’s Cultural Centre, the Main and Centenary Galleries house the State Art Collection of over 18,800 works by renowned local and international artists from the 1800’s to today, including approximately 3,000 Aboriginal works. In 2020, the Gallery celebrated 125 years of operation.

 

Location
This position is located in central Perth within the Cultural Centre hub close to the bustling café, tourist and shopping districts.

 

Conditions
This is a full time, permanent opportunity.

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
Successful applicants will be required to complete the below prior to commencement:

  • A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants for this position may be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within the Culture and Arts Portfolio and/or the wider public sector which arise within a reasonable period of time. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Future vacancies may be considered - fixed term, part time and full time.

  • Strong analytical, organisational and process development skills, including the demonstrated ability to assist with the coordination across initiatives aimed at maximising revenue raising activity.
