About the Role

The Solution Architect leads the analysis, design and development of business solutions, ensuring they meet organisational needs and align with established architectural standards and governance. The role provides expert technical and design advice across the IMOS division, supports strategic planning, and contributes to defining the technology roadmap for future systems and services. It evaluates emerging technologies, translates business and technical requirements into architectural blueprints, and works closely with product owners and managers to maintain a strong architectural foundation that supports ongoing and future business requirements.

The position also plays a key role in operational effectiveness and service delivery by producing architectural designs, supporting the development of IT procedures and standards, and offering consulting support to development teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture. It defines principles, guidelines and patterns to guide solution decisions, oversees governance and compliance activities, and monitors the current solution portfolio to identify risks, outdated technologies or misalignment with business needs. Through active participation in communities of practice, the role fosters collaboration and promotes a consistent, forward‑looking architectural approach across the organisation.

About You!

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, systems analysis or a related field, or equivalent experience, with substantial exposure to diverse technologies, platforms and processing environments, and strong experience developing IT solution design standards and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical teams in the design and delivery of robust technical solutions.
  • Substantial experience providing strategic technical leadership in the support and development of solutions, including identifying and progressing technology opportunities across complex environments.
  • Highly developed verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to prepare a wide range of technical documentation such as IT planning documents, strategic and operational plans, and business continuity plans.
  • Strong analytical capability, including assessing new technologies within complex corporate environments, supported by a solid understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends and their practical application to evolving business and operating models.
