Osborne Park Hospital (OPH)
is seeking a motivated professional leader to join our highly
capable and values-driven Central Sterile Services Department
(CSSD) team, who must have a minimum of 5 years experience with
in depth knowledge and experience as a CSSD manager or
in a senior leadership role. You must have highly developed skills
in organisational and staff management skills with advanced
established knowledge in Australian Standard AS 5369:2023
(Australia/New Zealand 4187: 2014) Sterilisation Standards,
Hospital Infection Control and department Policy and Procedures.
This senior role will ensure efficient safe and timely service
delivery reporting to Theatre/CSSD Nurse Manager and Clinical Nurse
Specialist.
This is for a Permanent
Full-Time appointment.
What
is our CSSD Manager role?
In this role you will
provide leadership and day to day running of the CSSD ability to
lead, develop and support a high-performing team, including staff
supervision and rostering and work in collaboration with the
theatre leadership team within a multidisciplinary environment
to ensure the needs and services of our consumers are met.
Applicants will oversee decontamination, sterilisation and
packaging process meeting to Australian Standard AS 5369:2023
(Australia/New Zealand 4187: 2014) Sterilisation Standards GESA,
GENCA standards and infection control principles. Provide technical
and regulatory expertise, demonstrating competence across all areas
of CSSD with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, guided
by regulatory requirements whilst ensuring appropriate departmental
policies and procedures are in place and followed. Monitor quality
assurance systems and investigate incidents and implement
corrective actions, whilst liaising with Theatres, wards and other
departments to ensure seamless coordination and service delivery
optimisation.
Applicants must have
possession of Certificate III in Sterilisation Services with a
minimum of five years’ experience and must have a comprehensive
understanding Human Resource Management, rostering,
supporting day-to-day administrative tasks, including
ordering of equipment and consumables. Must have extensive
knowledge of multiple surgical theatre specialities and are able to
demonstrate skills required to support a dynamic clinical
workforce.

health care services for the community in the north metropolitan
area and is located in Stirling, 14 kilometres from the Perth
central business district. The hospital provides a comprehensive
range of specialist health care services for the north metropolitan
suburbs. The services at OPH are provided by three main specialties
consisting of Rehabilitation and Aged Care Services and Younger
Adult Rehabilitation, Surgical Services and Women’s & Newborn
Services. Each of these specialties has a dedicated Allied Health
Services Team.
