About the
role:
We are seeking a Medical Scientist in Charge who will serve
as the primary source of expert scientific advice and education
in Coagulation for tertiary teaching hospitals, general and
specialist hospitals, regional service laboratories, and all
referrers of diagnostic haematology samples.
The role applies contemporary management practices to ensure
the efficient operation of Coagulation laboratories in
accordance with quality standards and the needs of a diverse
client base.
This position also provides strong staff leadership to
support the development and maintenance of client-focused
laboratories that consistently operate to best‑practice
standards.

Please note this recruitment process requires completion of

the position. An unsatisfactory PEHA will result in the offer of
employment being withdrawn.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the
above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar"
vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this,
should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised
vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected
from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period
of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses
the recruitment decision. These can be Permament or Fixed Term Full
Time with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
