Position Profile

Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH) is seeking an experienced Clerical Coordinator to lead and coordinate clerical services across the Emergency Department (ED) and Enquiries Desk.

This is a key operational leadership role within a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment. You supervise, guide and develop a large team of clerical staff while ensuring that service delivery remains timely, accurate and patient centred.

Working closely with medical, nursing and allied health staff, you will play a key role in supporting emergency department workflow, coordinating communication channels and maintaining high standards of administrative practice across all enquiry points.

Your knowledge of patient and consumer administration systems together with demonstrated experience in supervising and training clerical personnel will be key in ensuring that team members are supported, skilled and contribute effectively to high quality patient care.

If you are a proactive and organised leader with a strong background in supervising clerical staff within a healthcare environment, we encourage you to apply.

How to Apply

We welcome your application via the ‘Apply for Job’ button at the bottom of this page. Your application should contain the following:

  • A statement addressing selection criteria as per the Job Description Form in 2 – 3 pages maximum.
  • A current resume which summarises your experience and how you are able to meet the position requirements.
  • The name, email and contact details of two referees who can be contacted to provide a confidential report.

Help in submitting your application: If you experience technical difficulties while applying online, please contact Employee Services on 13 44 77 for immediate assistance during business hours.

Eligibility: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. Fixed term and/or casual contracts can be held by individuals on visas that allow working rights within Australia.

Other Conditions: WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require applicants to undertake criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. Referees may also be asked to comment on an applicant’s integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour.

WA Health is committed to eliminating all forms of discrimination in the provision of our service. We embrace diversity and strongly encourage applications from people from culturally diverse backgrounds and people with disabilities.

In addition, we are committed to growing our Aboriginal workforce as part of WA Health Aboriginal Workforce Policy. As a measure to achieve equality, Section 51 of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 applies to this position and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are encouraged to apply.
