About the role
The Rehabilitation and Reintegration Branch (R&R) leads the development and coordinated implementation of offender rehabilitation programs, interventions, and services with the aim of improving offender’s lives and reducing the likelihood of re-offending.
The Education Employment & Transitional Services (EETS) unit assists incarcerated students to develop, practice and apply the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to take responsible control of their own lives.
The Curriculum Manager is responsible for the professional management and strategic direction of education and vocational training functions within the unit.
Eligibility
Qualifications – Applicants must have:
- A 4 year Education Degree or Degree and Diploma in Education, with a minimum 5 years post-graduate experience.
- A Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
- A minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in educational management.
Permanent positions – To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.

Subsequent Vacancies
Applicants found suitable but not recommended for this vacancy, may be considered for subsequent similar vacancies in the Department of Justice for a period of twelve (12) months, in accordance with Part 5 (General Appointment) of the Commissioner's Instructions No. 2: Filling a Public Sector Vacancy and Commissioner’s Instructions and No. 39: Interim Arrangements to Fill Public Sector Vacancies. Permanent, fixed term, full time and part time appointments may be offered during this period.
