We are seeking highly capable Coordinator Phyiotherapy to join our team realising the substantial development portofilo for North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS).

This vacancy is for a Permanent Full Time appointment at 76 hours (1.0 FTE) per fortnight .

What is our Coordinator Physiotherapy role?

Coordinator Physiotherapy plans, delivers and coordinates high quality physiotherapy services for Hospital in The Home (HiTH), including coordination and management of physiotherapy services across a range of clinical specialties including general medicine, geriatric medicine, neurology, respiratory medicine, haematology and oncology and surgical patients. They will also represent this team at Physiotherapy Leadership Group meetings.

Area Profile

Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical services including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery, and cardiac care.

At SCGH, we provide a physiotherapy service to inpatients and outpatients across the site. To ensure we are meeting the needs of each patient, each physiotherapy session will involve the following:

  • An assessment
  • Goal setting
  • The appropriate treatment
  • Evaluation of the effectiveness of treatment

Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
